Our primary focus is the well-being of each dog. We design the program best suited to your goals and your dog's needs — flexible, realistic, and honest about what's possible. Not every program fits every dog, which is why every journey starts with a conversation.
A solid foundation of basic obedience, good manners, mental stimulation, physical conditioning, and clear communication benefits every dog. Because of that, a Behavioral Evaluation and trainer approval are required before any training program — it's how we build a realistic path to your goals.
A day in training includes a variety of exercises: clear, consistent rules and boundaries, structured play, mentally challenging games, habituation to new sights and sounds, field trips to new environments, physical exercise, learning to interact properly with people and dogs, self-control work, and confidence-building obstacles. Skills progress through Foundational, Intermediate, Advanced, and Specialty levels — and not every dog will learn every skill. We'll always be transparent about what to expect.
Every program begins with an evaluation to assess your dog's needs, understand your goals, and build a strategy to reach realistic outcomes. Evaluations take about an hour and include a copy of Trina's book, Lead or Be Led 2.0, plus training strategies to get you started. You'll complete a short questionnaire 24 hours beforehand. The deposit is fully refundable with 7 days' notice and transferable if you reschedule.
Your dog lives and learns with us full time — the fastest route to lasting change.
This is part of our step-by-step service dog progression training program. Your dog stays in the home of a trainer, building everyday household skills, the specific tasks you need, and calm, confident behavior out in public. Two private lessons are included with three weeks of lodging, plus one lesson for each additional week. We adapt the program to each handler's goals and train a wide range of tasks — we'll talk through what's right for you and your dog.
Available Monday–Friday, drop off 9–10am and pick up 4–6pm. Your dog trains with us by day and comes home each night.
One-on-one with you, your family, your dog, and a certified ACE trainer — at our facility, off-site, by Zoom, or sometimes in your home. Subscribe to 1, 2, 4, or 8 lessons a month, or pay as you go. Semi-private lessons are available for groups of two or more, customized to your needs.
Free, hosted group walks one to two times a week at rotating local parks — open to all. A relaxed way to practice skills around other dogs and people. Walks are weather-dependent, so please register so we can expect you and send any updates. Sign up for Pack Walks →
Pawsitive Foundations Group Classes begin with private training to build a basic foundation, then — when you and your trainer agree you're ready — open into group sessions three times a week focused on fun, practical games that build focus and help your dog cope with distractions. Come to as many classes as you like during your membership; there's no waiting for the next series and no missed-class makeups to worry about.
Agility builds obstacle awareness, handler communication, and fluidity. Reactive Dog Classes are a controlled small-group setting for dogs who've completed a board & train, day train, or private package and are ready to practice. PAWs & PERKs Royalty Club is our by-invitation outings club — earned by passing the P&P test — with dog-friendly hikes, brewery nights, beach trips, and more.
Adaptable Training Methods for K9's is our Foundations certification course for aspiring dog trainers. Classes run two evenings per month plus weekly Shadow Days, and include a copy of Lead or Be Led 2.0, access to our video collection, a Biothane long line, and a standard lead.
We encourage members to work toward AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC), Community Canine (CGCA), and Urban (CGCU) titles, plus AKC Trick Dog titles, as a focus for responsible ownership. We have three AKC Evaluators on staff and prepare you through private lessons and group practice. Dogs need AKC registration, a PAL, or a Canine Partners number — easily obtained for any purebred or mixed breed.
Heading out of town? Your dog is welcome to stay with us. Boarding is a comfortable, home-style stay with caring supervision, and you can add playtime, walks, or a nail trim while they're here. Prefer a single day? Day boarding includes playtime or a walk, with drop-off and pick-up the same day. Boarding requires a two-night deposit, refundable with 7 days' notice.
